The year at Logitrans…
2007-01-04.
After a year of considerable activity and growth in a very competitive market, Logitrans report a profit of DKK687,000 – very similar to the 2005 result. However in 2006 there was considerable investment in the business – notably in product development, sales activity and marketing re-branding.
Furthermore, during the last year, Logitrans has taken over its American dealer, Interthor, which is now a member of the Logitrans group and the German division, Logitrans Deutschland, is now fully owned by Logitrans.
In terms of product development, the stainless product range has been extended and existing products within this area have been further developed. Logitrans is one of the strongest European manufacturers of material handling equipment for both the food and pharmaceutical industries.
In the printing and packaging industries, which are major markets for Logitrans, the product range has also been extended. The range now offers more options for reel handling. The transport, wood and component industries are also important industries for Logitrans.
By introducing their new logo, Logitrans has renewed all marketing material. “Our new material shows very clearly, how we want to fulfil our promise to the customers”, says Erling Pedersen, Managing Director of Logitrans. “We want satisfied customers, and we want them to make a good deal with us. We offer knowledge of different industries, and visionary, user-friendly and durable products. Our objective is to be the preferred supplier within our main industries”.
A very important marketing tool is the internet. The very informative Logitrans website was also updated. “Our website shows the interested visitor, how and why Logitrans is a visionary company, which focuses on giving the customers an easier working day and at the same time giving the employees a stimulating and challenging job”, says Erling Pedersen and continues: ”Lifting performance is our promise to the customers – we pledge to help our customers fulfil their need to handle goods in an ergonomically correct way”.
”We are very optimistic! We now have the basis for increasing sales, and our order intake already shows us that it works!”, Erling Pedersen ends the interview.
